A New Friend

(View Daily Bread)
John 15:9-17 (NIV)
9 "As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10 If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love. 11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. 12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command. 15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. 17 This is my command: Love each other. ..."

Lord Jesus, the past week had not been a spiritual week for me, for I was engulfed in intense work. I was so busy till I did not spend proper and quality time with You.

Today's message came at just the right point in time, to remind me of Your presence, and Your ever outstretched hand that is ever prepared to pull me up if I’m down. Lord thank You for the wonderful blessings You have lay in my life, in all the things that I engage in, whether they work out or not. For I believe there is a learning lesson in everything that You prepared for me.

It really feels good today Lord, to be back at Your Word, listening to Your teachings, and allowing myself to be soaked in Your presence. Thank You for this well of peace that springs from within my heart Lord. I’m good with You.

After a full seven days of hectic work this week, I really seek Your renewal of my strength, for I am weak right now. I know You will give me rest, for I am really tired from late nights and stress from my job as well.

Whatever comes my way, I just want to declare, that I love You Lord, for always being so patient with me.
